Retrofit, that can also be said conversion or modernization, consists in the installation of new and modern technologies on an old system, in order to update it.
It often happens that outdated measuring machines have a solid and working mechanical structure, but the electronics and software have become obsolete. Retrofitting an instrument, with the addition of modern software and electronic parts, allows to update it and to extend its life, keeping up with the times and comforming with recent standards.
Retrofitting brings many advantages: besides better performances, it reduces maintenance costs, lengthens the machine’s life and simplifies its use.
CRASE can update the measuring systems on four types of instruments, thanks to four different retrofit systems: hardness testers, gear testing machines, traction testing machines and spring testing machines.
